Missions

Jesus calls His followers to “go and make disciples of all nations”. The word “disciple” means follower. So followers of Jesus are called to make other followers. What a high calling! What a privilege! And the gospel is not for select people groups. Jesus said to take the good news of the gospel to all nations.

At Christ’s Church we want to be a church on a mission to impact our world, in whatever way we can, for Jesus Christ. We want to be on a mission here in Roswell and out into the world in ever-widening circles. We also want to realize that it all starts in our own hearts, and that we can do nothing on our own.

At the core, almost everything we do should be under the umbrella “missions”, if by that we mean impacting our world for Christ. However, we do have a section of ministry called “missions”, and we can break it down into three major categories:

Daily Lifestyle - seeking to be Christ’s ambassadors in our daily lives.

Short-term missions - sending teams from our church to do one to two week special mission assignments. Past destinations have included Mexico, Haiti, Romania, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Belize, Thailand and the Dominican Republic.

Global missionary support - supporting full-time missionaries financially. A list of missionaries we are currently supporting follows.

  • Chaves County Pregnancy Resource Center (counsel and practical care for pregnant women); Local
